St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 364 First St. SE, will host its eighth annual Greek Oktoberfest Oct. 6-9.
The celebration of Greek food, music, dance, faith and culture is St. George's largest fundraiser, laying the foundation for the parish’s work in the coming year.
The four-day festival will feature Greek food and homemade pastries, local dance troupe performances, live music by the Aegean Duo, fine-arts booths and a theme-basket silent auction.
The festival will showcase the debut of St. George's Junior Dance Troupe and the introduction of “Greek pizza” as a menu item.
There also will be an outdoor taverna and a drive-thru, open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Festival times are from 4 to 9 p.m. Oct. 6; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 7 and 8, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 9. Admission, parking and entertainment are free.
