Mount Athos Center will be presenting photos by Fred Boissonas taken on his visits to Mt. Athos in 1928 and 1930, in Fondation Hellenique, Paris, from September 17th to October 30th, 2011.
Fred Boissonas, was the most important photographer of Greek landscapes during the first decades of the 20th century, capturing people and places through his lens.
The exhibition in Paris is held within the context of ‘Cultural Heritage Days’ organized by Fondation Hellenique, while it coincides with an exhibition on ancient Macedonia in the Louvre.
The exhibition is co – organized by Thessaloniki Photography Museum, curator of Fred Boissonas Greek photograph archives.
On the occasion of the exhibition, Mount Athos Center and Fondation Hellenique agreed to develop further cooperation.
