Orthodox Bishops of Oceania visit Serbian Metropolitanate


On Sunday, October 16, 2011, a group of highly distinguished guests, led by the Orthodox Bishops of Oceania, visited the seat of Metropolitanate of Australia-New Zealand in Sidney's suburb of Alexandria.


After the official opening of the Second Oceania Bishops Conference, which had sessions of October 16 and 17 at the seat of the Greek Archbishopric in the Sydney's suburb of Refdern, its distinguished members visited the church Lazarica, the Cathedral church of the Metropolitanate of Australia-New Zealand of the SOC. 
The high delegation was led by His Grace Archbishop Stylian and together with him there were His Eminence Metropolitan Amphilochius of New Zealand, H.G. Bishop Michael from the Romanina Orthodox Church, and vicar Bishops: H.G. Bishop Seraphim, H.G. Bishop Ezekiel, H.G. Bishop Nikandros and H.G. Bishop Jacobos as well as His Beatitude protopresbyter-staurophor Mihailo Protopopov, the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church. Besides participants of the Conference there were also some professors of the Faculty of Theology "St. Andrew the First-Called" and clerks of the Greek Archbishopric, led by His Beatitude archimandrite Cyril, the hierarchal deputy of H.E. Archbishop Stylian.
The host was, of course, His Grace Bishop Irinej, along with Lazarica' fraternity and other priests.
The highly distinguished guests were welcomed in fron of the Serbian diocesan seat with bread and salt and then a priest Miodrag Peric, hierodeacon Siluan (Mrakic) and deacon petar Mrakic served the doxology at which the Lazarica choir chanted.
