Romanian Orthodox Church

Today, 20 September 2011, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, met the priests of charity of the Archdiocese of Bucharest, in Europa Christiana room of the Patriarchal Palace. To end with, His Beatitude offered the 103 priests of charity a set of clerical vestments they need in the missionary activity they unfold – informs Trinitas Radio station.

The co-ordinator of the priests of charity of the Archdiocese of Bucharest, Rev. Marian Pintică, addressed a thanksgiving speech to His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel expressing the joy of the priests of charity to meet His Beatitude.

Further on, the Patriarch of Romania spoke to the priests present about their role in the public institutions: “Your work is very important for us, because it is through the priest of charity, in general, but especially through the one who serves in the hospital and cemetery, that we bring peace where it is much turmoil, hope where it is disappointment and comfort where it is too much sorrow. This is why we must be solidary with you, especially since you are not in an institution of the Church, but missionaries of the Church in public institutions.”
