The Metropolitan Synod of the Metropolitanate of Muntenia and Dobrugea met at the Patriarchal Residence under the chairmanship of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church. To open with the proceedings, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel presented the themes of the daily agenda: “The daily agenda includes the updating follow up of the texts of the service of Saint Iachint of Vicina, the first metropolitan of Wallachia, and of Saint Bretanion. We also have setting ups of new monasteries, as well as some cases of discipline.
