President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated Archimandrite Jeremiah and other clergy of the Saint Panteleimon`s Monastery on Mount Athos in northeastern Greece on the fest day of Saint Panteleimon celebrated by the Russian Orthodox Church today. Mr. Medvedev stressed that historically this monastery has had deep links to Russia. The male monastery of St Panteleimon was founded in the 11th century and is one of the twenty old monasteries located on Mount Athos.
